  • Assisting in selecting, recording and arranging “Skip & Do the Double Dutch” by MALCOM MACLAREN - NO.2 ON BRITISH CHARTS.

  • WON THE FIRST OFFICIAL South African Song Festival Awards - two years in a row.

  • The remixed song “Umqombothi” by YVONNE CHAKA CHAKA released worldwide by Polygram – 12 years later selected for the opening ceremony of the CRICKET WORLD CUP in South Africa.

  • Marketed, promoted and staged SHABBA RANK's tour to South Africa.

  • Started a new rap trend “KWAITO” with SENYAKA's song, “Magents” – Arthur only coined the word “Kwaito”.

  • Recorded the official sound track for the “African Cup of Nations” – the only winning “BAFANA BAFANA” team

  • Staged the launch of TOTAL SPONSORSHIP for KAIZER CHIEFS at the Johannesburg Stadium.

  • Developed the concept and staged the first “GOLDEN CIRCUIT” for TINA TURNER Concert at Johannesburg Stadium – Big Concerts continues with the concept even today.

  • MADE HISTORY in the South African Music Industry – “Moloyi” by Umanji started selling on its own 3 years after being released by BMG – now sold in excess of 90,000 units.

  • Phil Hollis is the only person who has discovered, developed and promoted artists and created major hits in most genre’s of music in all 11 official languages in South Africa.

  • Started DEPHON PROMOTIONS and developed into the largest independent record company in South Africa – sold to Polygram.

  • Developed YVONNE CHAKA CHAKA into South Africa's largest recognised singing artist in Africa.

  • Developed CHICCO into the largest recognised artist/producer in South Africa – now a movie producer.

  • RICARDO performed “I love you Daddy” with STEVIE WONDER in Japan for Unicef – to a worldwide TV audience.

  • During a 5 year restraint of trade assisted and developed KGM Records headed by Blondie Makhene – one of South Africa's first black owned record companies – to achieve sales from R800,000 per year to R8 MILLION IN 16 MONTHS.

  • LAUNCH OF PEPSI COLA IN NIGERIA with YVONNE CHAKA CHAKA – performing to more than 500,000 people in one month.

  • DIRECTED OVER 50 MUSIC VIDEO's – involved in the production and editing of over 150 videos, including the award winning video “Soldier without a gun” by Chicco

  • STAGED OVER 180 MUSIC FESTIVALS AND 4,000 INDOOR SHOWS throughout Southern Africa, including, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Lesotho, Swaziland, Kenya, Zaire and Nigeria.

  • Awarded more than 20 DOUBLE PLATINUM DISCs and OVER 60 PLATINUM DISCs and an uncountable number of gold discs – as Executive producer for artists

  • Staged 3 eight-hour “MZANSI MUSIC LEGENDS LIVE SPECTACULARS” 32 artists performed only their hits songs using 3 backing bands in a medley format ––in Mafikeng, Taung, and Vryburg with over 75,000 attending these festivals.
